Love: 2-14-08Wednesday, February 14,
2008: Today is Valentine’s Day, dedicated to love. So, I think it appropriate to begin my blogging with thoughts
on that subject. My interests in writing (especially my next novel, The Explorer: An Adirondack Search,) will involve
more expression of the Great Love that we all are invited into. All it takes is a resolve on our part to
be more “one” with our environment and the individuals in it. I believe that no person or situation
can come into our experience (so that we have to deal with them/it) by chance. Our soul (as I conceive it) seeks out individuals
and situations whereby we can enhance our understanding of the oneness of all life. As
you must have discovered by now, some of those lessons are sweet, but more (probably) are difficult or downright painful.
Yet, if we truly are pursuing a greater love than we’ve known, we must persevere. Our pleasure society teaches us to run from events or people who distress us, but please consider
that you may be attempting to evade a situation that can answer your prayers or deepest desires. Difficult at first (as plowing
rocky soil often is) but there is a harvest to be reaped from hanging in there. You will grow more loving. If, indeed, The
Creative Force is a beneficent and loving energy and consciousness, you will always be guided, even over the sharp rocks.
Less and less, you will see yourself at odds with people and situations around you. More and more, you will see that
the events of each day are a new prescription for enhanced loving-ness on your part. And that enhanced love will draw you
closer to the great intelligence and peace that formed our world. I welcome your e-mails on discoveries that you have made, of feeling a part of that Greater Love, Greater Goodness
or cosmic One-ness.
