We are about halfway done with a great children's book,
Rubber and Glue: Achoo! This small book will be the first work not authored by David Pitkin. Instead, it
was written over a quarter century ago by a wonderful teenager, Vincent Lombardi, Jr. Rhymed verse, unique colored illustrations
and a great spiritual message from a gifted young man, whose life ended in his twenties. I love it.
Pitkin
is researching a remarkable Civil War horse, Moscow, the steed of Brig. Gen. Philip Kearny, who died in 1862. Moscow, after
years of public service in Rensselaer County, NY, was buried in 1879 with his second owner. A great story of determination
and courage that kids from 8-12 should enjoy. Probably published in early 2009.
